Legislative Sentiments are significant expressions of the sense of the Legislature. They are a public declaration in honor of a personal achievement signed by the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives. They are also approved by both chambers and entered into the legislative record. Legislative Sentiments are for:

• Wedding anniversaries 50 or more years

• High school honors (e.g. Valedictorian, Salutatorian)

• Birthdays 75 years old or more at 5-year intervals

• Birthdays over 100 years old

• Sports honors and awards

• Boy Scout Eagle Scouts

• Girl Scout Gold and Silver Awards

• Chamber of Commerce awards

• Civic appreciations, congratulations and acknowledgments

• First and second place pageants and athletic awards.

Legislative Memoriam Resolutions may be requested to express sympathy regarding the death of a prominent local or state figure.

I would be honored to submit a Legislative Sentiment at your request.  Please contact me by e-mail or call 449-1358.
